Cleanup Time
Most dirt on solid surface countertops can be removed
with soapy water or an ammonia-based cleanser. Also, the surface can be
disinfected with a solution of diluted household bleach. Solid counters are
water resistant and do not allow mildew and bacteria to penetrate its surfaces.
When it comes to durability, you can’t go wrong with
solid surface countertops. Although harm can be done to these surfaces,
practically all damage can be fixed easily and cost free. Scratches can be
buffed out by hand, burns can be sanded away, stains do not sink in, and even
severe damages to the surface can be repaired in virtually all instances,
avoiding the need for replacement.
